Kristian Ranestad id professor of mathetmatics at the University of Oslo.

Prof. Holden has been actively collaborating with professor Enrique Arrondo since 1986 at Universidad Complutense de Madrid

About his work:

"My interest in this started at the relations to special varieties, in particular Fano varieties, Calabi Yau varieties and hyperkahler varieties. Some of these show up as varieties of presentations of a tensor in terms of tensors of small rank and are therefore closely linked to the above problems.
My current resear focuses on particular cases of such varieties of presentations, and the plan for the stay in Madrid is to initiate a collaboration with professor Enrique Arrondo and his group on this topic, on whoch they already have shown some expertise."
