Noelía Antúnez

Venue: Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Norway

From: August 30, 2010

to: September 30, 2010

Noelia Antúnez works in the Department of Art Education of the Fine Arts Faculty of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (UCM) as a teacher and in the MuPAI (Pedagogical Museum of Children's Art) as the coordinator of the Education Project.

She gives classes in the Fine Arts Degree and in the Master degree for Secondary School's Teachers and all my subjects are about art education and how teach art. I'm also part of the GIMuPAI (Research Group of the Pedagogical Museum of Children's Art), and as a researcher of this group she carries out her research activity about contemporary education methodologies, art education in museums, and how to teach audiovisual and cinema to teenagers; and she collaborates in research studies about educational innovation, art education in hospitals and in High schools too.
The way in which the teachers and the students work and connect themselves in the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts it is very different than the way we do these things in the Fine Arts Faculty of the UCM. This different way to teach is been showed, for example, in the students' works in which we can see a different concept of painting of sculpture, or in the fact that there are professors that are experts in intermedia, video, sound, digital art, ... and all these techniques (the more traditional and the more moderns) are considerate ways to make contemporary art.

For all these reason, for she is very important to know new and different education methodologies applied to how teach and learn about art.
